Setting up my first Echo Dot
So I received an Echo Dot from work last week and now its time to set it up.
So lets jump right into it.
-First we plug it in and wait for it to say hello.
-Once it had the orange ring it is ready to setup.
I am installing using a Android phone
MAKE SURE BLUETOOTH IS ON
-Download the Amazon Alexa App from the Google Play App and open the App.
-Press "Continue"
-Enter your Amazon Username and Password then Press "Sign In"
-Press "Setting up an Amazon Echo"
-Press "Echo Dot"
-For this Echo Dot Choose "3rd Generation"
-Press "Continue" to allow access to Wi-Fi network and if it pops up and asked if you want to allow Press "Allow"
-Select your Echo device
-Press Continue
At this point you can use your Echo Dot, however it will ask more questions to personalize it like location in the house, phone number, etc
I might go into details another time on how to add some of the personalized stuff such as skills on another post. I plan to put this one in the kitchen and add Pandora skill, because this little speaker is very nice.
